Equality, Human Rights and Labour Standards Statement

At Beyond Bamboo, we are committed to fostering a fair, inclusive, and respectful workplace where all individuals are treated with dignity and equality, and where discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation are not tolerated in any form.

We are committed to ensuring that all employment-related decisions, including recruitment, promotion, training, reward and career development, are based on merit, skills, qualifications and business needs, without unlawful discrimination on the basis of any protected characteristic, including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

We recognise the importance of accessibility and inclusion and are committed to making reasonable adjustments for disabled employees and applicants where appropriate.

All employees are expected to contribute to a respectful and inclusive culture by treating others fairly and professionally and by raising concerns regarding inappropriate conduct, discrimination or unfair treatment through the appropriate channels. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not be tolerated.

We are committed to upholding fundamental human rights and responsible labour practices throughout our operations and, where reasonably practicable, across our supply chain and business relationships.

Forced labour, child labour, human trafficking and any form of exploitation are strictly prohibited. We expect all work to be freely chosen and carried out in accordance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

We are committed to maintaining safe and healthy working conditions and to providing appropriate information, training and support to help protect the wellbeing of employees and others working with us.

Working hours, pay and employment practices must comply with applicable laws and relevant industry standards, supporting fair treatment, reasonable working arrangements and appropriate rest periods.

We respect the right to freedom of association and collective representation in accordance with applicable laws.

Concerns relating to equality, labour standards, human rights or workplace conduct should be raised through HR or senior management. Reports will be handled as appropriately, fairly and confidentially as possible.

We encourage our employees, suppliers, contractors and wider business partners to support these principles and to work collaboratively to promote ethical, safe and respectful working practices.
