Strategic Partnership with WSHA Agreed

We are excited to announce and launch two new initiatives in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. Beyond Bamboo are members of the Alliance and our CEO Tiffany sits on the Senior Advisory Council with the Heads of most of the major hotel. brands globally. She also helps to lead the Supply Chain Optimisation Impact Committee focused on making the supply chain more planet conscious.

The WSHA has over 55,000 hotels as members worldwide comprising of over 7 million hotel rooms and 300+ brands. It also has global strategic partnerships with organisations such as United Nations, World Travel and Tourism Council and UNWTO World Tourism Organisation. Started by now King Charles, the WSHA is the largest Alliance of hospitality brands in the world.

On 26th June we officially launched the Beyond Bamboo Planet Conscious Amenities Pack to the membership in partnership with the Alliance. This project has been created as part of the Pathway to Net Positive and means that all of the brands have been invited and encouraged to purchase an amenities pack that has been created by our team through contract manufacturing in Asia. The potential of this project is huge and we are currently in the sign up and pack completion phase. The products and manufacturing site are being vetted by a third party auditor Deep Trace, to ensure that they are truly sustainable and ethical. Once the audit is complete (end of July) the pack will be certified and we will be able to start selling.

To give you an idea of the size of this project we have already had a positive response from Accor (5,400 properties, 110 countries), Red Sea Global (development of 50 resorts, offering a total of 8,000 hotel rooms), Six Senses (25 properties, doubling in next 2 years), ENVI Lodges (2 properties, 5 more opening in next 12 months), NEOM (opening 50 hotels by 2030), Hilton (7,200 properties across 123 countries), Wyndham (9,200 hotels across over 95 countries), Radisson (1,340 properties in more than 95 countries) and Melco (5 properties in Asia and Europe). The invites were only sent out last week.

In addition to this project, BB COO Simone is part of the WSHA Impact Committee focused on ratings, measuring impact and standards and has confirmed a global project where Beyond Bamboo and WSHA will co-create and offer a sustainability rating system to the Alliance members that will become the industry gold standard. This is also being delivered in partnership with Darren Ryemill (BB investor) and Hapstar who are the development partner. We have just launched the feasibility study led by Simone and supported by Ernst and Young.

We will create a BB subsidiary Beyond Ratings to manage and deliver this offering when ready to launch which will create a new revenue line for the BB group. More details to follow.
